Digital storytelling constitutes a pedagogical tool for teachers to work on different linguistic skills while generating students’ interest and attention. This study analyses the usefulness of including digital storytelling within a didactic sequence in order to work on linguistic routines such as greetings and leave-takings in English as a foreign language. To this aim, we have worked with first year students in the Faculty of Education at the Universitat de València to improve their ability to adapt their language skills to specific situations within common daily interaction. [EN] This paper presents an educational innovation project focused on the use of digital storytelling in English for Specific Purposes teaching, specifically in English language courses for Tourism. With a socio-constructive approach and a focus on active learning, in this project students in the second, third and fourth year of the Degree in Tourism and the Double Degree in Tourism and Business Administration from the University of Valencia were invited to create tourism promotional videos reflecting their professional communicative situations. El presente artículo refleja la experiencia de creación de relatos digitales en un curso de formación continua en línea para profesores de español en Brasil, llevado a cabo en el marco de un proyecto de cooperación internacional establecido entre la Universidad Estatal de Campinas (Brasil) y la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (España), con el patrocinio de los ministerios de Educación de ambos países.
